He started his career in the Public Prosecutor’s Office in St. Petersburg as an aide to the District Prosecutor, reaching several senior positions including the First Deputy of the Public Prosecutor of St. Petersburg and the Public Prosecutor of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

From November 2005 to May 2008 Mr. Konovalov served as Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District of Russia.

Since 1989 worked in the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Comparative Law Studies at the RF Government. Since 2005 – Head of the Entrepreneurial Legislation Department; since 2007 – Deputy science director of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Comparative Law Studies. In 1993–2004 was in the private legal practice.

Since 2008 works in the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Aimee-Jane Lee is an international counsel in the firm’s International Dispute Resolution Group and is based in the London office. Her practice focuses on international commercial arbitration and litigation, and public international law.

Ms. Lee has advised private clients and states across multiple jurisdictions (notably in Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe) and a number of industries, including mining, construction, hospitality, advertising and, especially, energy. She has represented clients in arbitrations conducted under the auspices of the main institutions and governed by a variety of substantive and procedural legal systems.

Ms. Lee advises on the international protection of investments (notably under bilateral investment treaties, the Energy Charter Treaty and investor-state contracts) and represents her clients in associated disputes.
